Helsinki Longsword Open 2026: registration opens September 23rd

HLO26 will take place on January 23rd - 25th, as Ruskeasuon liikuntapuisto.

Registration will open on September 23rd, at 7pm Finnish time.

This year there will be 6 competitions

Open Longsword (216 spots)

Women's+ Longsword (72 spots)

Open Sabre (90 spots)

Women's+ Sabre (18 spots)

Open Rapier & Dagger (60 spots)

Longsword Cutting (40 spots)

Weapons will be provided for the Longsword competitions (including Cutting), everything else is Bring Your Own Steel.

Preliminary schedule

Tournaments will start on Friday at 9am.

Cutting, Sabre, Womens+ Sabre and Rapier & Dagger are on Friday during the day.
NOTE: Womens+ longsword will not be on Saturday, like in previous years, but on Friday evening, after office hours.
Open Longsword + all finals are on Saturday.

Sunday is reserved for free megasparring, as usual.
