Saksalaisen miekkailun peruskurssi järjestetään EHMS:n Sörnäisten salilla osoitteessa Suvilahdenkatu 10 E 3.2. - 26.3. Treenit pidetään tiistaisin klo 19:30 – 21:00 ja torstaisin klo 20:00 – 21:30.

Kurssilla tutustumme kahden käden miekan perusteisiin Liechtenauerin koulukunnan oppien mukaisesti. Kurssin tarkoituksena on valmistella osallistujat EHMS:n normaaleihin harjoituksiin, sekä kohottaa osallistujien peruskuntoa. Kurssin aikana harjoitellaan tekniikkaa ja sparrataan. Sparraamisessa käytetään sekä pehmomiekkoja että teräsmiekkoja.

Mukaan tarvitset sisäliikuntavaatteet ja -kengät sekä vesipullon ja hikipyyhkeen. Salillamme on myös suihku.

Vähimmäisikäraja on 14 vuotta, ja alle 18-vuotiailta edellytämme, että saamme huoltajan allekirjoittaman suostumuslomakkeen viimeistään ensimmäisellä harjoituskerralla.

Peruskurssin hinta on 150 € ja se sisältää vuoden 2026 jäsenmaksun (arvo 20 €, vahvistetaan vuosikokouksessa). Kurssin jälkeen voit jatkaa normaalitreeneissämme kuukausi- tai kausimaksun hinnalla. Lisätietoja harjoittelumaksuista löydät tästä.

EHMS is hosting a beginner’s course in German swordsmanship at the EHMS fencing hall in Sörnäinen, at Suvilahdenkatu 10 E from 3rd of February to 26th of March. The classes will be held on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9 pm and Thursdays from 8 to 9:30 pm.

During the course we will learn the basics of using a two-handed sword according to the Liechtenauer school of fencing. The objectives of the course is to prepare the attendees for participating in our regular classes and to improve the fitness of the attendees. The classes will include technique training and sparring. Sparring will include both soft weapon fighting and steel sword fighting.

If, for any reason, you cannot attend the course, please inform us by sending an email to info@ehms.fi. Do not come to the course if you are ill!

You will need indoor training clothing and shoes, a water bottle and a sweat towel. Our salle also has a shower.

You have to be at least 14 years of age to participate in the course. We ask that the guardians of minors fill and sign the consent form and hand it in to us during the first class at the latest.

The beginner’s course costs 150 € and the price includes the club’s membership fee for 2026 (20 €, to be confirmed in the AGM). You may continue attending our regular classes after the course by paying our standard monthly or seasonal fees. You can find more information about our training fees here (in Finnish).
